Fashion Blog: Elegant Evening Attire

Maybe you have a fashion show to attend or a formal dinner party this weekend or you want to make your first move on your crush on a beautiful evening date. Whatever the event may be, The Captain Classy has got a plan for you.

Although vibrant colors are the standard in the summertime, dark colors will give you the contrast you need to stand out of the crowd and create a lasting impression. Some of my favorite dark shades are dark gray, emerald green, royal blue, and a deep black. For my shoot, I opted for a black silk shirt and black pants.

You can observe how rich the color appears against several different settings and backgrounds, indoor and out. In order to bring a bit more energy into the outfit, I slid on my favorite white Adidas sneakers with hints of gold. Solid colors and metallic accessories always capture my attention and pair nicely.

I have worn a shirt for my look but you can also choose to throw on a blazer or wear a V neck t shirt inside your shirt and pop open the buttons depending on how formal or casual the event is. These are my personal tips but feel free to style your top whichever way it makes you feel comfortable and confident in yourself.

Although there are plenty of bottled up secrets on how to care for your hair in warmer weather, one of the best tips to maintain your mane is to keep your hair well moisturized. Summer heat can be daunting and damaging to hair strands. Heat intensity can vary from place to place but in my city, it is very hot and humid. To prevent frizz from frying my hair, I like to use Dove men+care 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner. For an additional bit of texture to the hair, I use hair wax or gel.

For this look I've chosen -"Ultimate Hold Hair Gel." It's my holy grail product for when I want to have sleek and groomed hair. The advantage of using a gel like this is that it locks your hair in all evening so that your hair is selfie perfect!
